FORWARD IN FAITH

Saint Augustine's is a Forward in Faith parish affiliated to the national organisation of that name.  Originally founded as an umbrella organization for those who could not accept the ordination of women to the priesthood, the organisation now represents the traditional anglo-catholic constituency within the Church of England. Committed to maintaining traditional faith and order, Forward in Faith gives priests and people a national voice so that our point of view is heard, not just about women priests and bishops, but a whole host of matters where we share a common interest. At the Diocesan level there is Forward in Faith Guildford which ia a focus for traditionalists in Guildford diocese, offering support to those who may be feeling isolated and marginalized.  A number of local and national events are organized by Forward in Faith.
