Fr Keith - Goodbye

Dear All,

With official duties shortly coming to an end and administrative loose ends to be tied up, retirement is now looming; moving house is stressful at the best of times, but trying to get organised with the ongoing consequences of ‘lockdown’ is, to say the least, not easy!

My wife and I are now on the verge of bidding Aldershot and St Augustine’s a sad and rather strange farewell –it would have been lovely to have celebrated that Farewell Mass on June 26th and say some proper goodbyes, however it wasn’t to be!

Although it’s sad to move on, we do so with many, many happy memories of all the friends we have made and the life experiences we have shared over the past 30 years, both in church life and in the wider community.

We will miss you all but we are both looking forward to a change of scene and the fresh challenges ahead; plenty of sea air and a new garden to work on and relax in and may be some retirement ministry too when we are settled!

Thank you for all the cards, kind messages and presents we have received over the past few weeks –it’s been overwhelming and thank you to all those who have generously contributed towards our retirement gift- we have ordered some really smart garden furniture which will take pride of place on our patio!’

With love to everyone,

Fr Keith and Barbara
